2016 Riesling Icewine

This riesling icewine has fresh acidity providing lift, finishing on a mineral note. Peach, apricot, toffee, apple juice, lemon peel and thyme honey leap out of the glass an onto the palate.

Gold in colour with a lifted nose of dried apricot, wildflower honey and candied lemon. Concentrated and sweet with great acidity and texture, followed by a flavourful finish.

Winemaking Notes

After spending the entire growing season hanging on the vines, frozen bunches of Riesling grapes were harvested and basket pressed at temperatures below -8C. The concentrated juice that resulted was fermented and aged in stainless steel, and bottled shortly after.
